'First year students are hereby instructed to sign in the University of Calcutta Check List from the date of commencement of BA/B.Sc./B.Com classes within two months and also to fill up C.U. Registration Form, failing which, C.U. Registration can’t be issued for the absentee students.
If a student fails to substantiate the information submitted during admission for the purpose of fulfilling the formalities for obtaining University of Calcutta Registration or for any other purpose the college finds appropriate, his/her admission would be cancelled.
The University Notifications No. CSR/64/17, dt. 14.09.2017 containing new revised Examination Regulations for Semester-wise three-year (Six Semesters) B.Com. (Honours/General) courses under CBCS w.e.f. 2017-2018 and The University Notifications No. CSR/3/18, dt. 07.05.2018 and CSR/4/18, dt. 07.05.2018, containing new Admission & Examination Regulations for Semester-wise three-year (Six Semesters) B.A./B.Sc. (Honours/General). This new Admission and Examination Regulation is in effect from the academic session, i.e., 2018-2019.
Attendance
A student attending at least 75% of the total number of classes [60% to less than 75% = 6, 75% to less than 90% = 8, 90% and above = 10] held shall be allowed to appear at the concerned Examinations.
A student attending at least 60% but less than 75% of the total number of classes held shall be allowed to appear at the concerned Semester Examinations subject to the payment of prescribed fees and fulfillment of other conditions laid down in the regulations.
A student attending at least 60% shall not be allowed appear at the concerned Semester Examinations and he/she has to pursue admission to the same Semester in the very next year.
Rules & Regulations
It is compulsory for the students of B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (Hons./Gen) to appear for Internal Assessment and Theoretical and Practical Examinations as per University Calendar.
Students enrolling for the Honours course cannot change their given subject combination, as mentioned in the prospectus.
College campus and class rooms should be kept clean.
Smoking within the College Campus is Strictly Prohibited.
Cycles are to be kept in the cycle stand alone and nowhere else.
Under no circumstances, the discipline and the academic atmosphere can be violated.
NO STUDENTS WILL BE ALLOWED to enter the college Campus WITHOUT THEIR IDENTITY CARD.
Indiscriminate loitering and scuffling is strictly prohibited within the College Campus.
The College adheres strictly to Vishakha Guidelines emphatically against sexual harassment of girl students, women faculties and non-teaching staff. All grievances are addressed with immediate effect. Students are advice to contact Prof. Sipra Ganguly, ICC Co-ordinator.
Students can submit their grievances (Academic or Non-Academic) through Grievance Redressal Cell. A separate box is located for this purpose.
Students are requested to avail Boys’ and Girls’ common room during their free periods. Girls’ common room is provided with exclusive access to washroom facilities and limited indoor games. Boys’ common room is provided with indoor games.
