Activities Initiated Under Career Counseling Cell
Career Counselling Cell was initiated way back in 2005 and has placed students successfully through internship to different organizations like Pantaloons and other Retail Industry. In the last few years it has taken a new dimension and has been renamed as Career Counselling Event Management & Placement Cell. The Cell offers training in:
UGC VOCATIONAL COURSE-UGC RECOGNIZED
Interior Decoration & Beautification (Certificate, Diploma & Advanced Diploma Course) in Interior Decoration & Beautification Course, more than 100 students have passed in all these years with successful Placements in organizations like
- Cee Bee Design (Main Office in Bangalore. Regional Office in Kolkata, Rajdanga Main Road, Kolkata-70).
- AD’s Furniture (102, Garfa Main Road, Kasba, Kolkata-40).
- A.K.Home Solutions (3/127, Azardgarh, Jadavpur, Kolkata-40).
- Lynk Interiors (Domjur, Howrah-405).
The Cell has been striving to place students to various organizations like ICICI Prudential Insurance Company offering placement to 5 students,'A,K Home Solutions' offering placement to 4 students, 'Carreograph' offering placement to 3 students,and 'Reliance Jio' screening 49 students will provide placement in long run term as per vacancies. All these companies are offering a salary package of almost Rs. 15000.
To encourage research and further studies among faculties this Cell has also conducted a workshop in association with USEIF(United States- India Education Foundation).Teachers of our institution also attended a workshop at USEIF.
INDUSTRY VISIT
The Cell has also initiated Collaboration with Industries for Students to have hand on experience as in terms of exposure, industry visit twice a year for Bio Science Students which would help them with better job opportunities in future with TCG Life Sciences (Sector V, Block BN, Salt Lake Electronic Complex Salt Lake)
ACHIEVEMENT-FUNDING FOR BIO-SCIENCE LABORATORY SET UP
Recently an agreement was signed with TCG Life Sciences & CSR with a funding of 3.30 lakhs for Bio Science Laboratory set up,for our students.
Finally, By the inspiration of Hon'ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the college has opened “Diploma In Computer Application ”in collaboration with Webel Technology Limited, a Government of West Bengal undertaking for all the students of the College.
